It wasn't a joke in 1947!

It can take the form of a battle in a small American town named after a city in Greece that held democracy at its core.

I will say it till I am blue in the face. Guns provide overwhelming power of persuasion when conversations and actions can get out of control.

And I have unlimited faith that Americans legally possessing guns are quite a force just by virtue of raising the tenor of the conversation, sometimes without a shot.
