"There was talk of health care, a call from an audience member to impeach President Barack Obama and concern from immigration reform advocates. Gauging applause, most of the audience was Radel supporters.
The congressman uses the ongoing series of community meetings around Southwest Florida as a barometer of public opinion."
Why is a series of meetings needed? The so-called public opinion is from an organized group of people, same gang at meeting after meeting. Re-election engineering. If you are not part of the 'gang' would you expect Rep. Radel to even consider representing your viewpoints? Not in today's form of Democracy. If Rep. Radel was truly interested in public opinion he would reach out for opposing viewpoints by pushing back on specious statements, seek meetings outside his 'media comfort zone' (his former employer Fox) and acknowledging positive things about and done by his opposition. Instead Rep. Tradel practices the national Republican Party strategy of denegrating those opposite you. Rep. Tradel, it is your responsibility to represent all constitutents in your district, not a select few; read the United States Constitution.
