By not supporting the Marriott do you think that they in turn would stop supporting the organizations that you list? If they did then they are guilty of appearing to care only to create a way of creating an inroad in order to obtain a greater ROE from those who feel these gestures are substantial enough to allow the Marriott to renege on past agreements.
They have too much invested in the existing property. I would bet that there are plenty of other hotel chains that would be happy to take over the Marriott property and the city's benefits from them would be as much as the Marriott has given these special interest groups. What they are doing does not appear, at all, to be a good neighbor to me!
It is really sad that we have people, such as yourself that appear to be willing to sell-out their neighbors and the reasons that they moved to Marco in the first place for some personal, business related, benefits.
