Veterans Day Peace Demonstration

Description: Veterans and volunteers will gather on the Naples beach on Veterans Day to mourn U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq.
Representatives from Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, Broward for Peace, Social Action Committee of Fort Myers, and other groups will erect a field of crosses representing the more than 3,842-plus American soldiers killed on Nov. 11. The display, called Arlington South, will be on the beach near Naples Pier, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Taps will be played at noon, with volunteers calling out the name and age of each of the American soldiers killed in Iraq.
