</title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/may/09/manatee-middle-school-students-add-color-history-s/</link><description>For some students at Manatee Middle School in Naples, the monotony of daily classroom activities was broken up Thursday and Friday by a chance to leave a lasting legacy on their school. </title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/apr/20/colliers-legacy-80-years-later/</link><description>You might consider the big picture. </title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/mar/30/wwii-survivor-transforms-horror-kindheartedness/</link><description>It’s difficult to believe that a compassionate and sweet man such as Professor Andrew Kavchak lived through the horrors of the German invasion of his native country, Poland, and then through the inhumane Soviet conquest of their territory.

</title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/mar/24/vestiges-old-plantation-home-get-sized/</link><description>Matt Betz is feeling humbled. He is standing in a 130-year old structure built of a rough seashell mortar, which, in his experience, has survived despite great odds to the contrary. “I’m in absolute awe,” said the archaeologist, a Naples resident. “I’m 35 years old, I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve never seen this before.”
