She has produced a number of videos, covering everything from breaking news to in-depth documentaries, most notably her 2007 Webby Award Honoree-winning documentary "Invasion of Our Lifetime," a documentary in which World War II veterans gave firsthand accounts of their experiences while on the front lines of the D-Day invasion.

Prior to her professional career, Cassel graduated cum laude in 2005 from the Brooks Institute of Photography with a Bachelor of Arts degree focusing on visual journalism. There, she fell in love with implementing video, audio and still images into single multimedia packages. Michelle was the recipient of the Departmental Award from Brooks for her excellence in visual journalism, and graduated top-ten in her class.

While attending Brooks, Michelle worked as a stock footage shooter for DVArchive and produced a number of short documentaries, one of which plays continuously at the Ty Warner Sea Center in Santa Barbara, Calif. She also spent five months working abroad in Southeast Asia producing a number of documentaries, covering topics which included prostitution and the illegal wildlife trade.

After she graduated from Brooks, Michelle worked as a production assistant for Interface Media Group in Washington, D.C., where she assisted in the studio, on location and in the editing suite on documentaries and commercials for clients such as Discovery, National Geographic, World Wildlife Fund, The National Gallery of Art and PBS. She also co-produced a weekly talk show, "Q&A Café" for ING.tv.

In her spare time, Michelle loves to surf, snowboard, bike and hang out with her cat, Fuzz. She is also an advanced scuba diver and a certified Wildland Firefighter. Although there is no snow or surf in Naples, kayaking is an adequate alternative.

Maria Mason (left) kisses her mother Dolores Mason after they crossed the finish line at the Danskin

Maria Mason (left) kisses her mother Dolores Mason after they crossed the finish line at the Danskin

Visiting from Slovakia, Kristina Klapicova, 3, dances to the country music playing with her father A

Visiting from Slovakia, Kristina Klapicova, 3, dances to the country music playing with her father A

Joan DiBaso from Bristol, Connecticut makes her way up and across the street to greet Ernie Sartoriu

Joan DiBaso from Bristol, Connecticut makes her way up and across the street to greet Ernie Sartoriu

FGCU President-elect Wilson "Brad" Bradshaw, left, reacts with Bruce Lindberg, executive director fo

FGCU President-elect Wilson "Brad" Bradshaw, left, reacts with Bruce Lindberg, executive director fo

FGCU President-elect Wilson "Brad" Bradshaw, right, reacts with his wife JoAnne during an interview

FGCU President-elect Wilson "Brad" Bradshaw, right, reacts with his wife JoAnne during an interview

Muffins, croissants and pastries are prepared every morning by Carol Flanigan, owner of Fifth Avenue

Muffins, croissants and pastries are prepared every morning by Carol Flanigan, owner of Fifth Avenue

Every morning for the past 10 years John Windisch, 76 has read the newspaper with a cup of coffee at

Every morning for the past 10 years John Windisch, 76 has read the newspaper with a cup of coffee at

Carol Flanigan, owner of the 5th Avenue Coffee Company prepares the outdoor seating at 6:30am before

Carol Flanigan, owner of the 5th Avenue Coffee Company prepares the outdoor seating at 6:30am before
