Moving to Southwest Florida in September 2005 gave her that opportunity.</p> <p>It also gave her the opportunity to cover K-12 education policies in Collier and Lee counties. The subject matter interests her greatly as her younger sister, Stephanie, is a teacher at their former elementary school in Indianapolis. She covered education until recently, when she accepted a change of assignment that has her covering Collier government and transportation. </p> <p>But the move to Florida will never shake her deep love for the Indiana University men's basketball team (even though they were woefully terrible this year), music by Hoosier greats David Lee Roth and John Cougar Mellencamp, or the deep-fried pickles only available at the county fair.
