Prior to arriving in Naples, Jacob interned at several newspapers, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Grand Rapids Press and Birmingham (Ala.) News. At Michigan State, he worked for the student newspaper, The State News, for six semesters, with stints as a police and courts reporter, football reporter and editor-in-chief.
