Looking Back: Fifth Avenue South

In the early 1970s and until the mid-1990s, this was the atmosphere of Naples' Fifth Avenue South. Landscaping, low-key mom-and-pop shops and the Piccadilly Pub were fixtures.

Editor's note: The caption on last Sunday's "Looking Back" postcard (bottom photo at right), also from Fifth Avenue South, was wrong and may have confused readers. The caption said the view looks east from Eighth Street; the view actually looks east. Mary Lipstate was the first reader to let us know.
