David got the win, running a 8.81 ET on 8.78 dial with a .622 RT. Lexus ran a 12.32 ET on a 12.20 dial with a .677 RT.

Two-cycle karters dominate racing
The West Coast Karting has mostly been a track dominated by the four-cycle karts. But this season, the two-cycle machines seem to be taking over.
With a couple of new training classes of Kid Karts and Cadet Karts using 50cc and 60cc two-cycle engines, the drivers move up to the higher powered two-cycle classes as they get older.
Vince Guliani was top driver in the Two-Cycle Lite class as he came from a second-place finish in heats one and two (behind Ryan Allums) to win the feature heat and top two-cycle honors for the day.
Allums led the feature for the first four laps but the persistent challenges by Guliani paid off. He was able to overtake Allums in the fourth lap.
West Coast Karting conducts racing the first and third Sunday of each month, September through June. There is open practice every first, second and third Saturday of each month. The track is located at the Florida Sports Park at the intersection of Collier Boulevard. and Rattlesnake Hammock Road in East Naples.
