The Lutgert Cos. creates two divisions

The Lutgert Cos., a real estate developer in Southwest Florida, has created two divisons.

"Given our growth, we feel the creation of Lutgert Development and Lutgert Holdings will allow us to serve (our clients' and business partners') needs more completely," stated Scott Lutgert, chairman of The Lutgert Cos., which is based in Naples.

Lutgert Development will be responsible for residential and commercial real estate development projects. Richard J. Baker, who will be president, has been with The Lutgert Cos. for 30 years as vice president.

Lutgert Holdings will be responsible for insurance, real estate brokerage, title insurance and commercial property holdings, acquisitions and joint ventures. Howard B. Gutman, who will be president, has been with the company for 27 years.

The company -- which is developing properties on the beach at Park Shore Beach, Bonita Bay and Estuary at Grey Oaks -- has more than 300 employees and 215 sales associates.
