"The Heidi Chronicles" by Wendy Wasserstein will be presented by the Community School Theatre Company at 7:30 p.m. today, Nov. 7, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the school's G&L Theater, 13275 Livingston Road. "Don Quixote de la Mancha," an engaging version of the Cervantes classic that's suitable for kids of all ages, will be staged by Kids Conspiracy, the children's division of Theatre Conspiracy, at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 7; at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9; and at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 15, at Foulds Theatre. Saturday, Nov. 8

Salute to America will take place from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Sugden Regional Park, 4284 Avalon Drive. A presentation of colors will begin the concert, which will feature the sounds of Harry James and the Andrews Sisters. Admission is free; refreshments will be available for purchase. Naples Artcrafters Fine Arts & Crafts Association will host its first art show of the 2003-04 season from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Cambier Park, 755 Eighth Ave. S. Participants will find original works of art including oils, watercolors, photography, jewelry, pottery, batik, sculpture and more. Admission is free. Information: 643-7141.

Fall Classic Cheerleading and Dance Exhibition will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway. Participation is free; spectator admission is $3. This is a fun event, not a competition. Information: 298-2986.

Florida Repertory Theatre will present Lunch Box Theatre at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 15 and 22. Geared toward children, the show is titled "I Didn't Know That: A Lighthearted Revue of First Facts, Selected Oddities and World Records." Tickets are $10. Sunday, Nov. 9

Love is in the Air Bridal Extravaganza will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at St. John the Evangelist Parish Life Center, 625 111th Ave. N. Numerous vendor displays will be available, and a bridal fashion show and drawings for honeymoon trips are planned. Information: 434-5735.

Tenth Annual Taste of Bonita will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, in the front parking lot of Sunshine Ace Hardware Plaza at the northeast corner of Bonita Beach Road and U.S. 41 in Bonita Springs. Entry fee is $5;food tickets cost $1 each. Samples from 30-plus area restaurants will cost one to three tickets. The Lords of Cool will entertain, and plenty of children's activities are planned. Proceeds go toward the various charities and causes supported by the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs, which sponsors the event. Information: 572-2707.

"Most Affectionate Daughter," a one-woman dramatic presentation based on the life of Maria Celeste, the eldest child of famed 17th-century scientist Galileo, will be performed by local actress Janina Birtolo at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Unity of Naples Church. The historically accurate and fully costumed one-hour presentation explores Maria's great intellect, individuality and determination. The church is at 2000 Unity Way off Davis Boulevard.
