Laguna Lakes model opening boosts sales

According to company officials, in the two weeks since Transeastern Homes opened its new model row at Laguna Lakes, the company has notched 25 sales.

Laguna Lakes is a private gated community of coach homes and single-family homes in south Fort Myers. The new model row has a sales center and nine decorated single-family models.

"In the grand opening weekend celebration, more than 500 people toured the models," said Maryann Crowell, Transeastern Homes' director of sales and marketing for the Southwest Florida Division.

Three collections of single-family floor plans are offered with three decorated models from each collection on display.

The Monterey Collection designs ranges from 1,341 to 2,086 square feet under air on 40-foot wide homesites. On the 50-foot wide homesites, The Santa Barbara Collection of floor plans range from 1,640 to 2,928 square feet under air in single- and two-story designs with up to five bedrooms. The Beverly Hills Collection on 70-foot wide homesites will have 2,629 to more than 3,635 square feet under air. All homes have screened and covered lanais.

The Pebble Beach Collection of two- and three-bedroom coach homes with one- and two-car attached garages range from 1,789 to 1,917 square feet.

Home prices range from the $170s to almost $400,000.

The resort-style Club Laguna complex, which is situated on the shores of one of the community's largest lakes, offers a 4,655-square-foot recreation building with an indoor racquetball court, Nautilus-style fitness center, and meeting and entertainment rooms. Outside, there is a lakefront resort-style swimming pool, children's pool and a spa. Also included is a lake-front beach area with a fishing pier, two Har-Tru tennis courts, a volleyball court and a playground.

Laguna Lake's main entrance is off Gladiolus Drive, east of Bass Road. The sales center is at 9139 Spring Mountain Way.
