Looking Back: Old matchbooks

These old matchbooks are bound to strike up a conversation -- about where these Naples establishments used to be.

Clockwise from left, Pompano Bar & Grill was one of many eateries at a former drive-in on U.S. 41 at Second Avenue North, where Le Caffe des Artistes is today; Gordon's was at Bayfront; Cactus Flower was a predecessor of First Watch at Charleston Square on Gulf Shore Boulevard; Keewaydin Club marks a bygone era at Keewaydin Island; and that odd logo at middle foreground is from Charley's Crab at the redeveloping Old Naples Seaport site. Smoking in restaurants now is gone too.
