Model of the week: Views accentuate luxury of Grande Dominica model

Fine appointments and grand views define the Residence 04 model home in Grande Dominica, the first tower in the Grande Preserve high-rise neighborhood at The Dunes, a North Naples waterfront community developed by Signature Communities Inc.

The Residence 04 is located on the third floor. The three-bedroom/3-1/2-bath design, with 2,919 square feet under air and 3,401 total square feet, includes a 482-square-foot screen-enclosed lanai that can be accessed from four rooms of the home, including the master suite, living room and morning room. A second lanai is accessible from the second guest suite and the den/third guest suite. Two under-building parking spaces also are included.

The home's double-door entry opens to northwesterly views of the adjacent nature preserve and Turkey Bay beyond. The entry foyer and formal living room beyond invite guests into the home.

Natural illumination fills the living room from the rear wall of sliding glass doors that offer access to the lanai, which is more than 41 feet long offering views toward the Gulf of Mexico.

The size of the living room is enhanced by a mirrored wall, a 9-foot tray ceiling with lighting deep within its recesses and a wall construction between the adjacent family room and hallway that is composed of a window-like framing.

The home's kitchen, to the left of the entry, is equipped with custom raised-panel solid-wood cabinetry, General Electric Monogram paneled appliances and an under-counter mounted double porcelain sink. The Corian countertops are accented with a designer tile backsplash. Recessed and under-counter lighting has been strategically placed throughout the kitchen.

The breakfast bar counter, which seats four, separates the kitchen from the adjacent family room and morning room.

Four windows, which stretch nearly floor-to-ceiling, provide views to the west and allow natural illumination to fill the family and morning rooms.

To the right of the main entry foyer, the hallway leads to the master suite and guest suites. Along the hall is a powder room with a freestanding, stone-topped basinet.

Across the hallway, the utility room has a full-size GE Profile washer and dryer, laundry sink, linen closet, countertops and cabinets. It also provides the home's second entry that leads from the service elevator foyer.

In addition to his-and-her walk-in closets, the master suite is appointed with a his-and-her designed master bath with cultured marble vanities, custom raised-panel wood cabinetry, a corner spa tub, linen closet and private water closet with bidet.

The master bedroom, with a private entry to the main lanai, has a seating area. A plasma television is built into the foot board of the bed. Using a remote control, the television rises from its confines and can be swiveled to face the seating area in the room. A touch of the button and the television is drawn down into the foot board.

The two guest suites each have a full bath and a walk-in closet. The third suite has been designed as a den where a built-in desk/computer center fills the area of the walk-in. Both suites have two-panel glass sliding doors leading to the home's second lanai.

The Residence 04 model home, available with a 12- to 18-month lease-back option to the developer, is priced at $1,250,000, furnished, including upgrades, with interior design by Crawford Interior Design. Prices for the floor plan start at $900,000. Prices in the Grande Preserve neighborhood start in the $800s.

Grande Dominica consists of 87 condominium units in 15 residential stories over two parking levels. The 04 is one of the building's four floor plans, including a penthouse design.

The building's amenities include a mail room, fitness area and a pool pavilion with a sun deck and poolside cabanas.

Permitted for up to 641 homes, The Dunes is at the northwest corner of the intersection of Vanderbilt Drive and Bluebill Avenue. In addition to Grande Dominica, the Grande Preserve neighborhood also includes the Grande Excelsior tower, which is under construction. The Dunes also consists of the completed and sold-out three towers in the Island Cove neighborhood -- The Antigua, The Barbados, and The Cayman -- and the 40 coach homes of the Sea Grove neighborhood.

Grande Preserve residents will have access to membership privileges at The Floridian Club, a private beach club planned for a 1.22-acre site at 9467 Gulf Shore Drive North on Vanderbilt Beach. Services will include beach and pool attendants and the availability of beach cabanas, beach chairs and towels. Planned facilities include a pool, rest rooms, changing facilities and food and beverage service.

A concierge/lifestyle center for the use of Grande Preserve residents is also planned. To be situated at the entrance of Grande Preserve, the facility will provide residents with concierge services.

The Dunes' community amenities include a recreational center and The Plantation Club, a clubhouse which has a fitness room, a free weight area, a massage room, sauna, men's and women's lockers, a meeting area, lounge, bar, grill room, commercial kitchen and administrative office space.

The tennis center has a pro shop and six courts, including five with a Har-Tru surface.

Next to the clubhouse is a resort-style pool and spa, surrounded by a furnished sun deck. The clubhouse and pool area overlook the community's central lake.

Along the lake are seven guest cottages that are available to owners to accommodate their guests for overnight stays or extended visits

Other planned amenities include a sunning beach, fishing pier, a citrus walk, nature walk and canoe/kayak and bike racks.

The Dunes information and sales center is at 465 Bluebill Ave., one block west of Vanderbilt Drive.
