The following is a glance at the current productions of area theater groups. Note: Submissions for this column must be received by noon Monday for publication in the coming Friday's Showcase. Items are only as current as information provided to us by the theaters.

NOW SHOWING

"A Chorus Line," one of the longest running Broadway shows, can be seen at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater through Nov. 22. Adult tickets range from $37 to $41; cost for kids under 12 is $19. "Crime Heals All Wounds" is presented at the Seminole-Gulf Railway dinner train theater Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights. Tickets are $49.98 per person. Prices include a 3½-hour ride beginning at Colonial Station in Fort Myers, a five-course dinner and the show. Information: (800) 736-4853.

"Crimes of the Heart," a Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy by Beth Henley, will be presented by the Orpheus Players today and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15, at Holmes House Restaurant, 2500 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach. Other performances take place Nov. 21, 22, 28 and 29. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Show time is 8 p.m. Admission is $35 for the package and $15 for the play only. Information: (239) 463-5519.

"Family Affair" a murder mystery served up with a five-course dinner at the Seminole-Gulf Railway dinner train theater is performed from 6 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Friday tickets are $49.98 and Saturday tickets are $59.98. Prices include a 3½-hour ride beginning at Colonial Station in Fort Myers, a five-course dinner and the show. Information: (800) 736-4853.

"The Laramie Project" by Moises Kaufman and members of Tectonic Theater Project is the current production of The Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre's Tobye Studio. Now at the end of its run, final performances take place at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Note: The show contains adult language and descriptions. Sugden Community Theatre is the home of the Naples Players, the area's oldest community theater group. The theater is at 701 Fifth Ave. S. "My Fair Lady," the classical musical adaptation of Shaw's "Pygmalion," can be seen at Naples Dinner Theatre through Dec. 7. Productions take place Tuesday through Saturday evenings with matinees set for Wednesdays and Sundays; call for specifics. Ticket prices range from $37.50 to $42.50 and $45. The theater is at 1025 Piper Blvd. off Immokalee Road in North Naples. Information: 514-7827.

"Social Security" by Andrew Bergman is the Marco Players' first production of the season. Productions take place at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 23. Admission is $16 for adults and $10 for children. Season packages are available. Marco Players Inc., a 29-year-old community theater group, presents shows at Marco Players Theatre, 1055 N. "Tale of the Allergist's Wife" by Charles Busch, the Naples Players' current main stage production at Sugden Community Theatre's Blackburn Hall, is at the end of its run. The award-winning Broadway hit can be seen at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8. Note: This show Contains adult language and situations. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students. "Absurd Person Singular," a comedy by Alan Ayckbourne, the next production of the Florida Repertory Theatre, opens Friday, Nov. 28. Productions take place at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 21. Single ticket prices range from $15 to $32. "Too Big to be a Waitress" plays Dec. 26, 27, 28, 30 and 31 with ticket prices of $20 and $25. Shows are staged at the Arcade Theatre on Bay Street, between Hendry and Jackson streets, Fort Myers. "All About the Girls" is the next production of the Marco Players. Productions take place from Jan. 8 through 25 at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays. "Faith Country II: An Evening of Culture," a comedy by Mark Landon Smith, will be presented by the Naples High School Drama Club on Nov. 21 and 22 at the school auditorium at 1100 Golden Eagle Circle. The curtain rises at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will be pre-sold at the school and other available at the door. Information: 430-6644.

"Mama Drama," a whimsical and celebratory look at contemporary motherhood, will be produced by the Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre's Tobye Studio from Feb. 4 through 21. "White Christmas Revue" runs from Nov. 27 through Dec. 27 at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. "The Pajama Game" can be seen Dec. 31 through Feb. 14. "Wonder of the World," a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire, is set for Nov. 21 through Dec. 8 at Theatre Conspiracy, the resident theater company of Foulds Theatre at the Lee County Alliance of the Arts. Individual tickets are $16 for adults and $7 for students. Season subscriptions are also available. "The Eight Reindeer Monologues" by Jeff Goode plays Dec. 20 and 21, followed by "The Last Train to Nibroc" from Jan. 9 through 26, 2004. The theater is at 10091 McGregor Blvd., in Fort Myers. CHILDREN'S THEATER

"Don Quixote de la Mancha," an engaging version of Cervante's classic that's suitable for kids of all ages, is being staged by Kids Conspiracy, the children's division of Theatre Conspiracy, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the theater at the Lee County Alliance of the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd. Fort Myers. "Heidi," the story of a hopeful, orphaned little girl living in the Swiss Alps, will be presented by Naples Dinner Theatre's children's division, Ice Cream Theatre, on selected matinee days beginning Saturday, Nov. 29. Performances can be seen Dec. 6, 13, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 and Jan. 1, 2 and 3. A kid-friendly lunch is served from 11 a.m., followed by the 12:45 p.m. show. "I Didn't Know That: A Lighthearted Revue of First Facts, Selected Oddities and World Records" is being presented by Florida Repertory Theatre's children's venue, Lunch Box Theatre, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 and 21. Tickets are $10. Performances taken place at the Arcade Theatre on Bay Street, between Jackson and Hendry streets. Information: (239) 332-4665.

"KidzAct Kaleidoscope" is being presented by the Naples Players' youth theater program called KidzAct at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Monday, Nov. 21, 22 and 24, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Sugden Community Theatre's Tobye Studio. The first half of the show is a musical comedy revue, "Flashback to the 50s." The second half is a one-act drama, "The Strength of Our Spirit: the Vision of Anne Frank." Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children and students 18 and under. The theater is at 701 Fifth Ave. S. Information: 263-7990.

"Willabella Witch's Last Spell" will be performed by the Art League of Bonita Springs' theater group at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, and at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at the ALBS's main gallery, 26100 Old 41 Road. The story can be enjoyed by all ages. Tickets are $3. Information: 495-8989.
