Public meeting slated on GG Parkway project

A public information meeting to kick off construction of a widening project along Golden Gate Parkway is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17.

The public is invited to talk to Collier County transportation staff and the road builder about the widening of the parkway from Livingston Road to Santa Barbara Boulevard, excluding the state's future Interstate 75 interchange project area between 66th Street Southwest and 60th Street Southwest.

Merchants, property owners and residents are invited to stop in any time between 4 and 6:30 p.m. to review plans and ask questions at the Golden Gate Community Center at 4701 Golden Gate Parkway.

Scheduled to be on hand to take questions are representatives of the county's contractor, Better Roads Inc.; design consultant RWA Inc.; and consulting, engineering and inspecting contractor KCCS Inc.

There won't be a formal presentation.
