Grand TheftFrancis J. Miller, 26, 900 Henderson Creek Village Drive, Naples, was arrested Nov. 12 after Brian Cramer told police that prescription drugs and food were missing from his home at 1101 Strawberry Court on Marco Island.

Cramer said he had hired Miller to clean his home. He saw Miller's car parked at a neighbor's residence at 300 Capistrano Court and contacted the resident there -- Brien Spina.

Spina said Miller was not scheduled to be at his home that day. Cramer asked Miller to come back to his home and detained Miller until officers arrived. Miller had jewelry belonging to Spina in his mouth.

Miller was charged with grand theft, possession of a controlled substance and resisting officers without violence. He was taken to the Collier County jail in Naples.

DUI, BatteryMelissa Renee Fleck, 26, 1355 Mainsail Drive, Naples, was arrested Nov. 13 after police saw her driving a car without a tag light at 300 Bald Eagle Drive. Fleck failed a roadside sobriety test. She was placed inside the patrol vehicle and handcuffed, but twice moved her handcuffed arms to the front of her body.

She was recuffed and placed in leg restraints. While being placed in the restraints, she pushed an officer with her elbow and then escaped the patrol car. She was taken into custody, charged with DUI, battery on a law enforcement officer and escape, and taken to the county jail.

Domestic ViolenceSteven E. Amoling, 36, of 787 Apple Court, was arrested Nov. 14 after his wife told police that he grabbed her by her shirt and threw her on a couch. When she tried to leave, he pushed her. A search of his property turned up a plastic pipe, a spoon containing burn marks and a clear plastic box, all containing a white powdery substance. He was charged with battery domestic violence, possessing a controlled substance and possessing narcotic equipment.

He was taken to the county jail.

BurglaryA resident in the 200 block of North Collier Boulevard told police Nov. 12 that he heard someone enter and leave his condominium residence. The victim later realized his money clip, cash and a watch were missing from his dresser. The items were valued at a total of $1,895.
