Nancy Krchniak, chairwoman of the Scholarship Committee, says the student must meet certain criteria to apply for the scholarship. These criteria include experience as a member of a high school golf team, the intention to play collegiate golf, an adequate grade-point score, acceptance into a four-year college program, and other qualities such as leadership skills.
Application forms are available at the Estero High School Guidance Office or by calling the chairwoman of the Scholarship Committee at 498-5432. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 15.
The 25th Semi-annual Waterways Cleanup of the Imperial River and surrounding waters, sponsored by the Imperial River Conservancy, will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to President Robert S. Gordee and Kathy McGrath, secretary/treasurer.
In addition to the areas they will clean, McGrath says the Conservancy is looking for volunteers with canoes, kayaks and John boats to cover the upper parts of the river and Oak Creek.
A picnic lunch for participants will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Riverwalk Park in Bonita Bay. Please call Randy Mote at 495-3222 for directions and a reservation for lunch.
Participants will be given an Imperial River Conservancy boat banner.
All former employees, retirees and guests are invited to TWA SRS Southwest Florida Christmas Holiday Party at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Country Creek Country Club on Corkscrew Road in Estero. Cost is $10 per person. Deadline for reservations is Friday, Nov. 28.

Bonita Springs Rotarian Paul Helbing, Christmas tree sales chairman, says he will need help on Saturday morning to make final the sales tent setup, hanging lights, signs, and other details to get ready for the arrival of the trees.
Many hands can make it a short morning, he reminded members at Wednesday's breakfast meeting.
Spirit of the Gulf Sweet Adelines will present the 2003 show, "Celebrate the Champions" at 3 p.m. on Dec. 14 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers. Tickets are $20.
Spirit of the Gulf is the 2003 First Place State of Florida Sweet Adeline chorus and will compete in the International Competition in 2004 in Indianapolis. Featured guest quartets will be Swinglish Mix, the 2002 International Sweet Adelines champions, and Barbieshop, the first place Young Women in Harmony champions.
The 130-member chorus, under the direction of master director Karen Breidert, will perform four-part harmony barbershop style.
