The conference will feature an economic analysis and forecast by Florida economist Henry H. Fishkind. Regina Smith, executive director of Lee County's Economic Development Office, will report on local economic development efforts, and Richard Pegnetter, dean of the Florida Gulf Coast University School of Business, will discuss the school's role in area growth. Lee County Commissioner John Albion will provide the keynote address.
Analysis of current market conditions and projections will be provided by experts in specific market sectors. Bob White will present the industrial market report, Mark Alexander will provide the office market report, Karen Johnson-Crowther will provide the retail market report, and Michael Timmerman will review land sales for single-family and multi-family development.
A panel of real estate developers and financial consultants will discuss growth trends and issues. The panel will include John Gnagey of Worthington Communities, Dennis Gilkey of the Bonita Bay Group, Will Stout of Realmark Group, Thomas Schneider of Simon Property Group and Steven Moreira of the Magic Companies and current president of the Florida CCIM Chapter.
The conference will begin at 7:15 a.m. and will adjourn at noon. Admission is $45 for Florida CCIM Chapter Members, $55 for non-members and includes breakfast.
