Leaving a legacy

Mental Health Association luncheon

The Mental Health Association of Collier County is sponsoring a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club, 851 Gulf Shore Blvd. Tickets are $35 per person. Stuart Perry, a mental health advocate and 2000 recipient of the National Mental Health Association's Clifford Beer Award, will be the featured speaker. Information: 261-5405.

Renaissance Academy

The Renaissance Academy present Dr. Linda L. Buettner, director of Southwest Florida Center for Positive Aging, from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Mackle Park, 1351 Andalusia Court, Marco Island. Coping with the holidays

Hospice of Naples will sponsor a workshop from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Immokalee Career and Service Center, 750 South Fifth St., Immokalee, Conference Room 1, on how to handle the memories and traditions of the holiday season when you are grieving the loss of a loved one. -- Dr. Deirdre Atlas, an internist, has joined Hospice of Naples to provide care for hospice patients. Atlas served as a volunteer physician for the Neighborhood Health Clinic of Naples before joining Hospice.

-- Jeffrey H. Marks, a podiatrist, has opened offices at 7935 Airport-Pulling Road (597-7904) and 773 Fourth Ave. N. (262-3912). Marks was formerly with Cleveland Clinic Florida Naples.
