Kay Smith: TwinEagles to host holiday event

BONITA SPRINGS -- Instead of over the river and through the woods, area residents and visitors can go to The Estates at TwinEagles to capture the spirit of the holiday season. Amy Gravina, public relations counsel, announced.

The Bonita Bay Group, developer of TwinEagles, invites one and all to "Homes for the Holidays," on Sunday, Dec. 7, for a festive afternoon of holiday home tours, musical entertainment by Collier County schools and seasonal refreshments. The trolleys taking visitors on the holiday home tour of four elaborately decorated model homes will depart from the Club at TwinEagles' clubhouse beginning at 1 p.m., with the last trolley departing at 3:30 p.m.

Admission of $5 per person will benefit the art and music programs at the Collier County schools participating in this special holiday event.

Tour highlights include:

- McGarvey Custom Homes' 4,750-square-foot Las Palomas model brings "An Old Fashioned Christmas" to life with a vintage holiday design by Custom Homes Interiors. Chamber orchestras from Gulf Coast High School and Barron Collier High School will entertain guests while they view an art exhibition by The Community School. Adding to the festivities will be ice cream egg nog accompanied by an assortment of tortilla wraps.

- Elegant decorations create "A Partridge in a Pear Tree" theme at Snell Construction's 7,200-square-foot Amberly model. As guests marvel at the holiday decorations by Freestyle Interiors and art displays by Barron Collier High School, they will enjoy an assortment of fruits, cheeses and breads with a sparkling berry punch, while the Gulf Coast High School Ensemble performs holiday favorites.

- Heavenly decorations with the theme, "Watchful Angels," by the Arthur Rutenberg Naples Design Center fill the 4,300-square-foot Renaissance model by ARBC Corp. The Barron Collier High School Ensemble will present holiday music, Corkscrew Elementary School will provide a collection of art and the menu with holiday confections, along with hot white chocolate.

- The natural scents, sights and sounds of Christmas comes alive as London Bay Homes presents "I'm Dreaming of a Green Christmas." The Home & Condo's 2003 Dream Home becomes a showcase of holiday green. A chamber choir from Lely High School will perform holiday tunes, Corkscrew Middle School will provide a display of art, and festive hors d'oeuvres and hot spiced cider will be served.

All proceeds from admission will benefit the art and music programs at the six Collier County schools particpating in this special holiday event. Reservations are requested. Call (239) 352-8000.
