Spearman joins bank

William B. Spearman has joined Southern Community Bank as executive vice president, Fort Myers market executive. Spearman will lead the Bonita Springs bank's expansion into the Fort Myers market.

Spearman has more than 25 years in the Fort Myers and Naples banking market and was most recently the senior lending officer and construction lending manager for a large regional bank in Fort Myers.

Spearman is a graduate of Loyola University where he also attended law school.

PBS builds Bonita

M&I Bank branch

Professional Building Systems has been awarded the construction management contract for the interior build-out of M&I Bank's newest location in Southwest Florida.

M&I Bank will be the anchor office occupying 6,100 square-feet of the Colony Plaza on U.S. 41 in Bonita Springs. The interior design of this branch will be modeled after the Naples office and will feature superior levels of finish such as polished granite counters, brushed nickel fixtures, marble floors, rich oak trim and cabinetry.

M & I Bank is a division of Marshall & Ilsley Corp., a diversified financial services corporation headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis. With nearly 250 offices nationwide, this branch represents M&I Bank's second location and their continued expansion into the Southwest Florida marketplace. The project began in August and is expected to last approximately 31/2 months.

Professional Building Systems, located at 4395 Corporate Square, Naples, is a general contracting and construction management firm specializing in commercial, industrial and health care construction throughout Southwest Florida.

Saab service available

in Bonita Springs

The DeVoe Automotive Group announces the opening of a new Saab service facility at the DeVoe Dealership in Bonita Springs, providing a more convenient location for service needs for Lee County customers! The Saab master technician at the Bonita Springs location, Owen DeLeon, has years of experience. Latham Hill, the certified Saab service advisor, will make all service appointments; he can be reached at 948-6355. The Saab Service drive is located next to the DeVoe Mega Center at 28460 U.S. 41.

Abby Carpet makes donation

Abbey Carpet of Bonita Springs recently donated $10,000 to The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Philip Gutierrez, Abby's chairman and chief executive officer, said the donation was made as part of a hospital fund-raising project being sponsored by the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America. The funds were earmarked for the hospital's children's cancer fund known as Barbara's Friends.

The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida is part of the Lee Memorial Health Care System. Abby Carpet is a national franchise company of more than 800 individually owned stores with corporate headquarters in Florida.

to Bonita YMCA

Building strong kids, strong families and strong communities is YMCA's pledge. Frey & Son Homes, a custom homebuilder based in Bonita Springs, has stepped up to support that mission locally with a five-year pledge of $25,000 to the YMCA of Bonita Springs.
