There was no barking around, only applause, as High Four was named top sculpture for ArtQuest 2006. The handsome bronze dog, done by Louise Peterson and located outside of Arturo's Italian Ristorante, won after a close race.
Peterson will receive a $500 award.

A scavenger hunt that enticed 90 more votes ended the suspense after a tour of the 15 sculptures let voters critique them one more time April 22.
Second place went to Marco Man, by Jack Howard.
Jo-Ann Sanborn, president of Marco Island Foundation for the Arts, noted pleasant surprise in announcing third place, In-Spiration, won by the Art League of Marco Island students against 13 national and international sculptors.
ArtQuest was the baby of the foundation, whose mission is to provide art in public places. It first accomplished that mission by unveiling 15 sculptures on Jan. 26. They will remain on display in various locations on Marco until November.
During the scavenger hunt, created by foundation member David Caruso, clues were provided that inevitably led to the sculptures. In that way a last glimpse of the sculptors' works was assured.
As a reward all attended a reception at Orion Bank where prizes were raffled and the winning sculpture was announced.
Those who purchased scavenger tickets, or made donations to the foundation, received a "goody bag," filled with more than $200 in coupons from area merchants, information on other non-profit organizations and free membership into the foundation.
Those interested can still make a foundation contribution of $25 to the Orion Bank and pick up a "goody bag" until Friday, April 28.
