Dr. Maria Mannarino passed away Aug. 13 in Crotone, Italy, after a lengthy illness.
She was a graduate of the University of Bari School of Medicine. She was the director of Intensive Care and Anesthesiology at the Ospedale Civile di Catanzaro Italy, where she is remembered with great respect and affection by her colleagues. She was a frequent visitor to the Dayton area as well as the Marco Island/Naples, Florida, area during the winter months.
She is survived by her brothers, Dr. Antonio D. Mannarino and his wife, Catherine (Colosimo) of Naples, formerly of Dayton, Ohio; Pantaleone Mannarino and wife Rosa of Crotone, Italy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-nephew in Italy, Ohio, Georgia and Virginia.
