Players include Hockey Hall of Fame members John Bucyk and Phil Esposito; Stanley Cup Champions Don Awrey, Ken Hodge, John Mckenzie, and Don Marcotte; former NHL stars Bobby Miller, Bob Beers, Andy Brickley, and Bill O’Dwyer; as well as Olympic Gold Medalist Jim Craig. Plus many others!!
The charity game will take place on Saturday, February 25th @ 5:30 PM, prior to the Florida Everblades game. An Everblades game ticket for that evening is the only way to gain entry to the charity game. Germain arena doors will open at 5 PM.
Celebrity players will throw a limited amount of autographed shirts into the spectator area, and after the game, fans will have the opportunity to also receive a jersey off of the player’s back.
Complimentary programs will be handed out to all fans, with a certain number of them autographed by the participating players.
The CVS/Pharmacy event has raised over $380,000 for local charities over the past six years. Past beneficiaries of the charity game include The American Cancer Society, The United Way of Greater Portland, and the Ace Bailey Foundation.
This year’s beneficiaries will be The Genesis Fund, Childhood Glaucoma, and Easter Seals.
