FGCU women ranked No. 13 in basketball poll

The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s basketball team is ranked No. 13 in the latest Division II USA Today/ESPN poll, FGCU said this morning.

The team had been at No. 12 before the latest rankings were announced.

The Eagles knocked off Florida Memorial on Monday night by a score of 70-27. The contest was the last home game before the Division II National Independent Tournament later this month.

The team has road games remaining at Palm Beach Atlantic on Feb. 17 and at Lynn University on Feb. 21.
