Here we go again to another full month of social events! This is the only week in February to catch your breath from a wonderful January and we thank all who were involved in making it fun for everyone. This week, you can rest up after celebrating the Mardi Gras Bash and I know you all already thanked the committee for a fun night.
A member of the finance committee will speak to the membership about the budget at the February general meeting. Be sure to read the proposed 2006 budget for in the March Harborite. You will be voting on the budget at the March meeting.
We are very fortunate that we have a dedicated staff who types, lays out and assembles all the information for publishing the Harborite: Mary La Chance, Carole Martin and Luanna Lofquist. Our thanks to the members who deliver this important publication to your house. Read it carefully so you don't miss out on the events planned by a committee of volunteers under the guidance of Social Director Fran Scott. The regular events are listed with time schedule.
Don't forget the Tuesday night nickel bingo, with callers Barbara Porter and Agnes Bentley. Doors open at 6 p.m. and play begins at 7 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 13 is an important general meeting that will include the election of the new treasurer, Dick Piehler; social director, Fran Scott; and president, Lorne Martin. Monday, Feb. 13 is also the cut-off date for the Sweetheart Dance, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The By OB-event is $7, and will feature music by Solid Gold.
You can be as busy as you want with all the activities at the club — enjoy them to the fullest, and have fun.
