Robbery and aggravated assault arrest

A Goodland man was arrested Jan. 30 after two people told police he approached them with a knife and demanded money.

Larry Bravo, 54, of 110 East Court, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

After Dean Bond and Tanya Peterson called police, Bravo left but was arrested a short time later, reports say.

Bravo was taken to the Collier County jail.

Domestic battery and drug possession arrest

A Marco Island man was arrested Feb. 2 after his wife told police he battered her.

Jeffrey Scott Whitfield, 42, of 1575 Ludlow Road, was charged with domestic battery and marijuana possession.

Laura Fortune told police that Whitfield battered her during an argument at their home, reports say.

Officers searched Whitfield's car and found marijuana, reports say.

Whitfield was taken to the Collier County jail after officers observed injuries and confirmed statements.

Drug possession arrest

A New Jersey man was charged Feb. 4 with possession of a controlled substance and marijuana.

Stanley Schweitzer, 41, had marijuana and other narcotics in his possession at the Radisson Suite Beach Resort, reports say.

Police received a report of a suspicious incident at a room at the resort, 600 S. Collier Blvd. Reports say they detected a strong odor of marijuana and found the drugs after searching the room.

Schweitzer was taken to the Collier County jail.

Burglary report

Tracey Taylor reported Feb. 4 that someone stole a scooter and a helmet from her garage at 1438 Wayne Ave. The estimated value of the stolen property is $400.

Theft report

Jim Noll reported Jan. 27 that someone stole several appliances from his vehicle at 94 Delbrook Way.

The estimated value of the stolen property is $474.

Criminal mischief reports

• Rebecca Ison reported Jan. 27 that her vehicle was damaged at her workplace at 277 N. Collier Blvd. The estimated value of the damage is $500.

• James Demos reported Feb. 1 that his lanai screens were damaged at 148 Gulfstream St. The estimated value of the damage is $500.
