The last disaster loan assistance center for homeowners and business owners will close today.
The center, at 2705 S. Horseshoe Drive in Naples, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
After Hurricane Wilma struck Southwest Florida in October, the U.S. Small Business Administration set up temporary locations to help businesses, homeowners, renters and nonprofit organizations obtain financial assistance to recover from storm damage.
The low-interest home loans can help pay for insurance deductibles, pool cages and other damage not covered by insurance. As much as $200,000 is available for homeowners at 2.68 percent for damage not covered by insurance and can be paid back over 30 years.
After today, residents may call the Federal Emergency Management Agency at 1-800-621-FEMA or the SBA at 1-800-659-2955. The Hurricane Wilma reference number is 1609.
