Naples Quilters Guild Show
More than 175 quilts by more than 125 local craft quilters will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday in the meeting hall of St. John the Evangelist Church, 111th Ave. N. (extension of Immokalee Road west of U.S. 41), North Naples. Admission is $5.

Birding basics for kids
Children 8 and older can learn how to use binoculars, identify field markings of local birds and take a hike to practice from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Rookery Bay's Environmental Learning Center, 300 Tower Road, Naples. Celebrate Estero
Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Road, Estero, hosts the third annual event Saturday. Activities include: Estero High School Jazz Band performance at the lake at 10 a.m.; puppet show by the San Carlos Park Fire and Rescue District at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; elected officials' golf boat bonanza at noon; and a chili cook-off at 1 p.m. Also includes health screenings, children's activities, Lee County helicopter, K-9 unit, SWAT team and South County Regional Library issuing library cards.
