Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man they say sexually abused four victims when they were as young as 3 years old.
Wayne David Smith, 53
Authorities arrested Wayne David Smith, 53, on a warrant charging him with four counts of capital sexual battery. Smith’s address was withheld to protect the victims.
The Sheriff’s Office sought a warrant for Smith’s arrest after investigating allegations of sexual abuse of children. The warrant was issued and Smith was arrested in connection with sexual batteries on four victims.
Authorities said the charges represent “multi-generational” abuse of victims who are related. The victims reported that Smith sexually abused them when they were as young as 3 years old.
Smith is being held in the Collier County jail without bond.
