The Collier County Sheriff's Office has released an updated profile and a composite sketch of a man accused of sexually assaulting a 27-year-old housekeeper while she was cleaning a room at a local hotel in early July.
The man is described as Hispanic, very thin, and in his late 30s or early 40s. He is about 6 feet tall and has dark shoulder-length, wavy hair that is graying. He has a mustache and is either missing his front upper tooth or has a large gap between his front teeth, the Sheriff's Office said.
At the time of the assault the man was wearing a cream button-down shirt with a flower print, black slacks and black shoes. Officials say he was carrying a small green suitcase.
The attack occurred on July 1, between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 3837 Tollgate Blvd. The woman was cleaning room 204 when the man entered and told her she didn't make the bed well. She looked at the bed, and when she turned back the man pulled a black handgun from his waistband.
He told her to treat him well or he would kill her. The man then forced the housekeeper to undress at gunpoint, closed the drapes and sexually assaulted her.
After the assault the man forced the woman to wash out her mouth and shower. When she heard the door close to the room she got out of the shower, put on her clothes and went for help.
A search of the hotel was conducted, but the man was not found.
