An East Naples man was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said Omar Alberto, 20, of 3131 U.S. 41 East, was charged with grand theft auto, driving while license suspended, violation of county probation and failure to appear for possession of cocaine.
Authorities said a woman notified authorities that her vehicle was stolen from the parking lot at Big Lots, 2882 U.S. 41 East. She said her car keys, which had been in the front of her shopping cart, were also gone.
Deputies began driving in the area to search for the 1992 Chrysler Sebring convertible with a “Jesus” front license plate. A deputy driving south of Collier Boulevard near Davis Boulevard spotted the car turning into the Super Wal-Mart on Collier Boulevard.
Alberto was arrested and the vehicle was returned to its owner.
