When it comes time to evacuate from an approaching storm, don't worry too much about all the road construction in Collier County.
But you might want to know where the work is under way.
In the event of a hurricane, all road construction projects are secured and all travel lanes are made usable, said Connie Deane, spokeswoman for the Collier County Transportation Services Division.
Motorists are advised to listen for updates and evacuation directions from the Emergency Operations Center director.
Also, check to be sure your vehicle is in good working condition before evacuating your home.
Once you're on the road, remember to buckle up.
