Few clouds, rain chances in weekend forecast

The first weekend in June will bring seasonable temperatures and slight chances of rain.

A 20 percent chance of rain is in the forecast today with partly cloudy skies and a high of 88 degrees. Rain today will be most widespread over interior portions of South Florida, the National Weather Service said.

Forecasters said the low will drop to about 74 tonight with the rain chance increasing to 30 percent.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and highs in the upper 80s. The chance of rain will stay in the forecast each day next week, forecasters said.

The average high on today’s date at Naples Municipal Airport is 89 degrees, according to weather service records. June brings an average of 8.18 inches of rain to the city.
