A San Carlos Park man has been arrested after police say he had sex with a minor at a local park.
Lee County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ruben R. Deluna, 21, 17525 Fuchsia Road, Thursday morning after the mother of a teenage girl said her daughter had sex with him at a park.
According to reports, the incident occurred the night of May 18 at Three Oaks Community Park, 18215 Three Oaks Parkway, Estero.
The girl — described only as being between 12 and 15 years old — told police that she sneaked out of her home and walked down the street, where she met Deluna. The two then drove to the park, where they had sex.
She later returned home and sneaked back in through her bedroom window without being detected.
The girl’s mother noticed something was wrong when she found the screen missing from her daughter’s window.
Deluna is being charged with lewd and lascivious battery. He remained in jail Thursday afternoon. His bond was denied.
