Swim clinics set for June 3

The Toyota Swim Clinics will be held Saturday, June 3, from noon to 2 p.m. at Lynn Hall Park in Fort Myers Beach. Olympians Rowdy Gaines and Dara Torres will lead the program. The clinics will be held in conjunction with the U.S. Open Water Championships, which run June 2-6. For more information, call 818-344-6195, ext. 103.

Bus trip to slated to All-Star Game

A fan bus to the Florida State League All-Star Game in Lakeland will depart from Hammond Stadium at 3 p.m. on June 17. Cost is $35. Call Terry at the Miracle office at 768-4210 to register.

AJGA event at Miromar Lakes

The American Junior Golf Association will return to Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club June 12-15 for the Nike Golf Junior at Fort Myers. Eighty-four junior golfers ages 12-15 will compete in a 54-hole stroke-play competition.

Mathieu Rivard of Granby, Quebec won the Boys event last year. Vicky Hurst of Melbourne captured the girls competition.

More than 160 AJGA graduates are playing on the PGA and LPGA tours, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love III, Grace Park and Paula Creamer.

Golf league moves to SCP

The Lightning Golf League, formerly of Bonita Springs Country Club, has moved to the San Carlos Country Club. Play will begin on June 6 and will be held every Tuesday from noon to 4:15 p.m. For more information, call 992-8444.

Benefit tourney on tap at The Vines

The Father's Day Golf Getaway to benefit Children's Home Society of Florida, Southwest Division, will be held Saturday, June 10 at Estero Country Club at The Vines. Shotgun start is 8:30 a.m. Lunch, prizes and goodie bags are included. All proceeds will benefit local children. Call 334-0222, ext. 215, to register.

Hole-in-one

Charlene McMillan notched a hole-in-one at Miromar Lakes Golf Club on May 27. She used a 15-wood to ace the 110-yard No. 3.

Kelly Cup pucks available

The ECHL has announced that goal-scoring pucks and game-used pucks from the 2006 Kelly Cup Finals will be available to collectors. The custom pucks, which feature the team logos in full color on one side and the Kelly Cup Finals logo and signature of ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna on the other side, are available through auction. Fans can access the auction at ECHL.com and MeiGray.com to bid on the pucks.

Game-worn jerseys and game-used pucks from each of the past five All-Star Games have been auctioned for charity, raising more than $88,000 for the PHPA Health and Welfare Fund (2005 and 2006), Make-A-Wish Foundation (2004), Karmanos Cancer Institute (2003) and Twin Towers Fund (2002).

Summer camps at FGCU

The Florida Gulf Coast University Athletic Department is offering day and overnight camps in volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and cheerleading. All camps take place on the FGCU campus. Overnight campers will be housed in on-campus air-conditioned student housing with constant supervision. The FGCU summer camps are designed to introduce basic game strategy, teach the fundamentals of sports, and enhance skills that each participant will be able to use to reach his or her potential. Baseball camp slated at EHS

Team Turco Baseball Camp for ages 6-17 will be held at Estero High School July 10-14 and July 17-21. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Cost is $125 per week, or $230 for both weeks. To register, call Estero High baseball coach Frank Turco at 826-7088.

Ladies Pro-Am on June 10

The Third Annual EWGA Naples Ladies' Pro-Am, presented by N Media Group, will be held at Tiburon Golf Course and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort on Saturday, June 10. Proceeds will benefit local girls through PACE Center for Girls in Immokalee and the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Clubs. Women of all skill levels are invited to play in this scramble, and each foursome will include a LPGA Teaching Professional. Players can sign up with a specific professional, or the registration committee will do the pairing.

The tournament also includes a Meet Your Pro Party on Friday, June 9 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort. The evening will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, and a special Meet Your Pro activity.

The shotgun start on June 10 is at 8:30 am, and it will be followed by an awards luncheon. To register, contact Lori Cook North at 287-0780.

Benefit golf

The Healthy Start Annual Golf Classic will be held June 24 at West Bay Club in Estero. The four-man scramble will include breakfast, lunch and awards. To register, call 425-6920.

Youth hoops camp

The Bonita Springs Recreation Center will host a youth basketball camp. Start dates are June 17, June 24, July 18 and July 15. The camp is for ages 6-8, 9-11 and 12-14. Cost is $50 per child. For more information call 992-2556.
