I-75 reopens after dump truck overturns

A crash slowed traffic today on Interstate 75 after a dump truck overturned in San Carlos Park.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded at 10:50 a.m. to the crash in the northbound lanes of I-75 just north of the Alico Road exit. Authorities said a dump truck overturned, forcing troopers to close the highway.

No serious injuries were reported, the highway patrol said.

The truck was cleared from the roadway and traffic began moving smoothly at about 12:15 p.m., authorities said.
