Evidently there is a new law or no law in Collier County.
On Memorial Day, boats by the dozens raced back and forth in front of the Bayview Park and boat ramp.
It was dangerous. It was mayhem.
Forbidding signs warn “No wake zone — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays.”
Marine officers putt-putted among the speeders, apparently oblivious.
Were all of the boaters decorated veterans?
Perhaps, as a veteran, I can now get my boat up on plane in a no-wake zone.
Do let me know in advance so I too can endanger both men and beasts.
