'Much Ado About Naples'

Betsy Bennett and Rick Compton open their new original satire at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the Norris Center, 755 Eighth Ave. S., Naples. While paying homage to Shakespeare, the two-act musical, which also stars Erin McLaughlin and Mark McClellan, tells the story of a developer who strives to replace all that's green. Tickets are $15. The musical fairy tale will star Emily Morgan as Rapunzel, Alex Duckworth as the Prince, Kay Francis as the witch and Val White as the storyteller and Simon the valet. New exhibit at Naples Museum

Naples Museum of Art is showcasing a new exhibit, "Recent and Contemporary Art: Selections from the Permanent Collection," which features a variety of rarely seen art by important artists of the late 20th century. The ecletic show includes paintings, drawings, sculpture and installation art by artists including Robert Rauschenberg, Nam June Paik, Jim Dine, Byron Browne, José de Creeft, Thomas Shannon and Romero Britto. The exhibit can be seen from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays, through July 30.
