South Carolina delegation visits Lee CVB

A delegation of visiting tourist officials from South Carolina chose Lee County's Visitor and Convention Bureau as a "Best Practice Bureau" out of all the bureaus in the state.

The delegation, the director, chief of staff and other members of the state's Parks and Recreation and Tourism Department were visiting Visit Florida, said D.T. Minich, the state's tourism organization.

They chose Lee County as the bureau they wanted to come and observe. Members of the delegation sat in on part of the Tourist Development Council's meeting today.

Before leaving, Director Chad Prosser expressed his admiration for the work done by the Lee County staff.

"I am impressed with all that this bureau and this area has done. The problems, challenges and opportunities for our areas are the same," he said. "I hope we will take something back with us from our visit here."
