A 3-year-old drowned in Golden Gate Estates late Friday evening, according to Collier County Sheriff's Office officials.
The incident occurred at 3691 6th Avenue Southwest at 10:11 p.m. No other information, including the child's sex or the circumstances surrounding the incident, was known. The child's body was being transported to a local hospital, officials said.
