The end of this month will bring another chapter in the saga of Bonita Springs' historic downtown district, as the City Council holds a workshop on plans to redevelop the former Bamboo Village trailer park site into the upscale Imperial Landing.
With new council members, it is believed the city will take a dramatic turn from the commercial-residential plan that capped three years of land purchases and calls for development plans.
While a meeting to vote on the future of Imperial Landing could come quickly after the workshop, we are taking a look this week and next in the Sunday Banner at today's Old 41 Road.
It has historic buildings, strip shopping centers and a river. All in all, it is a unique environment.
