A forum planned for Tuesday night in North Naples featuring the two Republican candidates for governor has been cancelled.
Charlie Crist and Tom Gallagher were scheduled to debate at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts, 5833 Pelican Bay Boulevard. Organizers announced today that the forum was cancelled because of threats across the state from Tropical Storm Alberto.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce President Mike Reagen said. “We are in dialogue with our partners, sponsors, and the candidates and will keep the public about any future scheduling.”
