Ready or not, the Hot Corner brings you another new comic to consider today.
Over the Hedge recently achieved star status, thanks to the release of an animated film based on the strip’s story of a raccoon named RJ and a turtle named Verne who come to terms with their woodlands being taken over by suburbia.
With voices by Bruce Willis and Garry Shandling, no less.
A good excuse to let readers see what they think.
On an outgoing note: Lio received very little response. Only 13 readers took the time to comment, and the reaction was pretty mixed. As quiet a reception as the kid himself.
Sharon Hirschfeld said “Lio is well-drawn, funny and makes you think.” At the other end of the spectrum was Jay White of Naples: “I think that my mind is as sharp as anything when it comes to humor, but this comic truly escapes me.”
So there you have it.
If you’re just joining us, while Boondocks is on vacation we’re letting readers sample new strips and comics that may have been overlooked by our crack selection committee. We’re running them for about four weeks, hoping readers will give each a chance for success.
