The victory allowed Fort Myers to take sole possession of first place in the Florida State League's Western Division.
Slowey, who saw his league-leading ERA drop to 1.10, extended his consecutive scoreless streak to 20 innings. He allowed three hits while walking two and striking out five in six innings of work.
The Miracle got Slowey all the run support he would need in the fourth inning. With one out, Matt Tolbert singled to left and advanced to second on Garrett Guzman's infield single. The two then pulled off a double steal, and Tolbert scored on a sacrifice fly by Brock Peterson. Kyle Geiger then lined a single to left to score Guzman and make it 2-0.
Fort Myers tacked on two more runs in the fifth.
Ryan Callahan pitched the final three innings for the Miracle, allowing two hits while walking one and striking out four to earn his first save of the season.
Peterson doubled in the sixth to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. He has now hit in 19 of his last 20 games.
The Miracle lead the Lakeland Tigers by a half-game and the Dunedin Blue Jays by one game with seven remaining in the FSL's first half.
Clearwater hosts Fort Myers again tonight.
