Hurricane preparedness seminars planned in south Lee

Lee County Emergency Management will host two hurricane preparedness seminars in south Lee in the next week as the storm season has already seen its first hurricane.

On Thursday, officials will have the event at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 9751 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs.

The next one is in Estero, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the South Lee County Library on Three Oaks Parkway.

Emergency management is having 22 of these seminars throughout the county during the early hurricane season, although these are the only two in south Lee.

Admission is free, open to the public and no reservation is required.
