Three men were arrested Monday after deputies said they tried to purchase merchandise with fake $100 bills at an East Naples pharmacy, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Vielman Virula-Soto, 25, Juan Ayala-Cruz , 27, and Luciano Aleman-Serrano, 23, were arrested at about 4 p.m. Monday at Walgreen’s, 4290 U.S. 41 East.

Deputies responded to a call from someone at the store who reported Ayala-Cruz and Aleman-Serrano were trying to buy items with counterfeit bills, authorities said. Virula-Soto was with them.
