Gymboree Outlet now open at Miromar Outlets
Gymboree Outlet has opened in phase one of Miromar Outlets in Estero.
The 2,553-square-foot store will offer a large selection of boy's and girl's clothes and accessories ranging from preemies to size 7 in boys and preemies to size 9 in girls direct from the manufacturer, with savings of up to 60 percent off retail prices. The store is located in suite 109 with a telephone number of 498-6855.

Orthopaedic practice opens in Estero
The Institute for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine has opened its new Estero office at 10201 Arcos Avenue, Suite 206.
Board-certified orthopedic surgeons John Fifer, David Heligman, Ed Gomez and George Markovich will staff the office and provide care on a rotating basis. Dr. Richard Hood, board certified in pain management, will also be on staff.
The new office provides in-office digital X-rays and MRI facilities, as well as physical therapy services. Like the institutes Fort Myers office, the new Estero location offers treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions, including joint replacement and reconstruction surgery, arthroscopic surgery for knee and hip, treatment of sports-related injuries, arthritis care, fracture care and management of acute and chronic pain. Jones named K2 partner
Stuart Jones, vice president at K2 Design in Naples and Bonita Springs, has been appointed partner. Jones joined the company in 2002, and served has manager of several key projects, and oversaw the entire build-out of K2's Naples office in 2002. Jones graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in architecture and associate degrees in drafting and architectural design. Previously, he worked as a civil inspector in New Jersey on road projects.
Bonita Bay's Timothy Becker addresses UF
Timothy Becker, director of commercial development for The Bonita Bay Group, was recently the featured speaker at the University of Florida's Alfred A. Ring Distinguished Speaker Series. The presentation addressed the students of the Center for Real Estate with an overview of The Bonita Bay Group and its commercial development efforts. Becker has been with The Bonita Bay Group since 2002, and is responsible for directing the expansion of the company's commercial property portfolio and assisting in land acquisition.
RCS lauded for reclaimed water use program
Resource Conservation Systems was recently awarded with the David W. York Reuse Award from the Florida Water Environment Association that recognizes leaders in promoting the Florida Water Resources Reuse Program. Last year, the Walt Disney World Company, Reedy Creek, was chosen for the award. RCS is an irrigation water utility company with 15,000 customers in Lee and Collier counties.
Lang joins HomeBanc
David C. Lang has joined HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation as a mortgage banker. Lang recently completed the company's nine-week sales training, which includes coursework and field experience.
Joyful Yoga selling DVDs
Joyful Yoga's newest DVD, "Flow," has sold 200 copies via the Web site, www.joyfulyoga.com. The DVD is set on a Southwest Florida beach and is led by mother and daughter team Tess and Jackie Chiodo. The DVD provides a yoga program accessible to all levels of yoga practice. Joyful Yoga is located on U.S. 41 in South Fort Myers.
Mediterra residents donate to United Way
Residents of Mediterra recently raised more than $153,000 for United Ways of Lee and Collier counties as part of their annual fundraising campaign. The contribution makes Mediterra the second largest community contributor in Lee County. Giving included 23 members of the Keel Club, reserved for contributions of $1,000 or more, and six Alexis De Toqueville members, who each gave $10,000 or more.
Kraft Construction Company awarded contract for new engineering building at FGCU
Kraft Construction Company, Inc. has been selected by Florida Gulf Coast University to construct a new Engineering Building on the university's campus in Fort Myers, Florida. The three-story building will be approximately 70,000 square feet and will house the offices and classrooms for the university's engineering program. The design will be complementary to other buildings on campus, and yet have a distinct character and appearance of its own.
Currently, the offices and classrooms for the engineering program are housed in various buildings on the campus. When completed, the new building will provide laboratory/lecture classrooms, administration and faculty offices, and research spaces all in one site for civil engineering, environmental engineering and bioengineering. Additional areas will be utilized as design studios, computer labs and a small workshop.
"We are proud to be able to play such an important role in the continued growth and development of Florida Gulf Coast University's Engineering Program," said Fred Pezeshkan, chief executive officer of Kraft Construction Company.
